Indonesian Special License Plate for Cars

For certain vehicles, the general license plate for civilian vehicle aren't used. If you see a car with this example of license plate, you should be aware and don't make any mess with it :

B 1986 BP

B 1187 RFS

B 1290 RFT

B 1309 RFP

B 1143 RFR

Here's the meaning of the license plate. 

For the car ended with BP, it's a car in which the owner have relationship with Police (BP: Bantuan Polisi). This BP initial is still in use, the others that have been expired and not released again is BD (Army/TNI AD) BL (Navy/TNI AL), BA (Air Force/TNI AU). Another license plate in which still use sparingly is BS (Bantuan Sipil) it's for third echelon and higher civilian services. 

For any car using RF and ended either with any of these letter P,Q,T,S,R,and N are cars owned by government of Indonesia, in loan to the users who working as a government official, for example Minister, Head, Deputy, or any higher titled in any Indonesian Department, Government Institution, and anything related to Government. These cars are actually luxurious, such as Toyota Camry (2008-2012), Toyota Corolla Altis (2008-2012), Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Lexus Harrier, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota Kijang Innova, and so on so forth. These luxurious cars, can't and are prohibited to fulfill the tank using Premium 88 priced at Rp 4500,00/l, instead of using either Pertamax 92/Pertamax Plus 95, or any fuel equivalent to Pertamax. These cars which use special license plates also get privilege to violate minor Traffic Rule such as cutting line, using special lane (TransJakarta Lane), Using road shoulder in toll Road, Zig-Zag driving style. In doing so, usually these cars are under escort from police and military police. Even if the cars is alone and doing such minor traffic violation rule, then police won't penalize the driver. RFx cars, if on loan to the minister, when use in duty, the license plate will be changed to RI XX, in which XX (either one or two digits) represents the number order of Department he's working at. For minister, RFx license plate is only  used when the minister isn't in duty. 

The meaning of the last letter of RF's License Plate

• P :Police
• Q: Headquarters, especially Customs (Bea-Cukai)
• T: Tentara for all force Navy, Army, and Airforce
• N: Negara, Some of Government Officials
• S: Sipil, Government official (Minister, Head/Deputy in Indonesian Department, High-Rank Legislative members)

RFx license plate is also a replacement for any license plate ending with two letter of either one of these : BD,BL,and BA even BP, since in Jadetabek, especially in the year of 2009, all cars released in this year, bought and transferred from another vicinity to Jadetabek, must use license plate ending with three letters. There are two possible replacement for any license plates ended with one of these: BD,BL, and BA

• It can be changed to RFT (Tentara) for all of force (Army, Navy, and Airforce)
• or It can be changed to RFL for Navy, RFD for Army, RFU for Airforce and RFP for Police.

RF if I may analyze stands for Rahasia Fasilitas then the last letter represents the institution which own the car. I've revealed the meaning of the last letters of RF's license plate, only one letter that I'm not sure what it stands for, It's for R in RFR. I've seen this one when I went to one of the Government Institution dealing with General Election, maybe RFR is the license plate issued for the official who is working in that kind of institution.
