NEW YEAR RESOLUTION

In the count of hour we will leave 2008 and we will welcome to 2009. In 2008, we have had so many memories, either good or bad. As a human being, I will retell the important event about what was occurred in 2008 especially in Indonesia. Starting from January, in the first month of 2008, it was started with accident. Adam Air plane which will fly from Surabaya to Manado, lost in the Sulawesi Ocean, or at Makassar strait exactly. All of the crew and passenger were died. In the middle of the year, Our Government had to raise up the price of oil in our country. It is because the oil price in the world market keep raising up. On October, Global Crisis hit USA. The effect until now is so big. First, The pressure to our Rupiah, from Rp 9000/US$ till reached Rp 13000/US$. Second, The suspension Of Indonesia Stock Change Market (BEI). It was happened because The price of our stock IHSG was corrected until it reach the lowest level for the last 2 years. Last but not the least is the biggest Unemployment in our country. It hit especially the corporation that focus on export. Those things above are the bad event that occurred in 2008. I also noted down some good event that occurred in Indonesia this year. First the success of Visit Indonesian Year 2008. Although it was not become the headline, but I think it is should be noted down. Second, The Execution of Three Bali Bombers. This execution proved that our government was very serious on handling terrorism. Third, The success of our police to opened up the International Drugs Network. Not only the network, but also the factory of last three months. Last but not the least, also the success of our KPK (Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi) to opened up and investigated some corruption scandal in our government. This year was full of 'rollercoaster' events. There are so many hopes that maybe I and we want to state. At least one global hope is : "We hope Our beloved country will be better in 2009 and will be saved from all of disaster whether natural disaster or any other disaster, and We hope that in Public Election in 2009 there will be chosen a very high quality Representative in DPR/MPR and also President. We hope god will help us to face 2009." Let say goodbye to 2008 and say welcome to 2009. OK, that all above are things that I can write down. Happy New Year 2009. Goodbye 2008.
